Ballots are coming to our DANZ members! If not for you, we can help you follow up. [email protected]
If you’ve got your ballot, we encourage everyone to join the early voting campaign and submit your ballots as soon as possible, and then let us (and your family and friends) know about it.
Voting Early
Voting early minimizes the chances of a delayed or late returned ballot, and also allows those of us voting from abroad to take advantage of the US Embassy and Consulate’s diplomatic pouch by October 1st. If you are in Auckland or Wellington, you can drop-off your ballot, and if you live elsewhere you can mail it to Auckland.
This is a free service for us as citizens (and taxpayers), so we urge anyone who has to return their ballot by mail to use it, and save the postage or courier costs. Instructions are on our website, and we can help too. https://www.democratsabroad.org/voting_in_us_elections_from_nz
Telling Us
Once you’ve sent off your ballot, you can encourage others to do so by posting to social media. You can do this in two ways:
- you can post to your personal Facebook and/or Twitter using this digital sticker from the Federal Voting Assistance Program. From the drop-down menu, you can specify NZ if you want: https://www.fvap.gov/IVotedSticker AND/OR
- you can send a photo of you or local scenery to [email protected] with which state you just voted in, and we’ll design a post and post it to our social media platforms.
The hashtags we’ll be using are #votefromabroad @ DemsAbroad @DemsAbroadNZ #HarrisWaltz2024 #ivoted
Thank you for voting blue, and, when we vote and vote early, we win!
