Upcoming events this summer in the Suisse romande

Some things to take note of in the next couple of months:

  • LGBTQIA+ Pride is this weekend, June 26 & 27th! Lausanne is hosting for Suisse Romande this year. There will be a Pride village at Milan Park and an official march through the city that starts on Saturday at 2pm. Here is the map route. Send an email to [email protected] if you plan on attending and would like to meet up. This is not a sponsored DA event; we are there in support and can bring any personal signage of choice.

  • Call for 4th of July volunteers: the American International Club of Geneva hosting its annual “Celebrating Independence Day" (...since 1962!). DA volunteers will be hosting a Vote from Abroad table there to help partiers sign up to request their ballot. To join at the table, write morgan@democratsabroad.ch. If you just want to attend (it's not a DA event but there's BBQ!) see the organizers' event page here: 4th of July American Club Celebration

  • Finally, we have plenty to do for the ending of the primaries and the launch into midterm season! Look towards our events home page for Resistance Roundtables, Montreux Jazz VoteFromAbroad walk-abouts, local meetups in your region, and virtual postcard evenings happening from July into the Fall!

As always reach out to us if you have any questions, ideas or concerns. Don’t forget your sunscreen and we wish you a safe, happy summer.

With gratitude,

Karin and Morgan, Suisse Romande Chapter Co-Chairs
