Democrats Abroad attends the dress rehearsal of the National Symphony Orchestra
On Friday, October 31, 2025, over 40 Democrats Abroad/Costa Rica members and friends attended the dress rehearsal of the
National Symphony Orchestra 2025.
This has become a tradition for Democrats Abroad as it’s our 3rd year we’ve been honored to attend a rehearsal!
The concert was in celebration of the 85th Anniversary of the
National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica
and was held at the historic National Theatre of Costa Rica in San José.
With Andrés Sobrado Egea as Principal Conductor and soloist Rachel Barton, the program featured some amazing music
· Mendelssohn, Midsummer Night's Dream Overture
· Mendelssohn, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra
· Beethoven, Symphony No. 5
After the rehearsal, about 30 people joined at a local restaurant for lunch.
