Sam joined Steele Wealth Management and Raymond James in 2019 as an Associate Portfolio Manager. Prior to this, Sam worked for almost a decade locally in Waterloo and in New York within the asset-servicing arm of an international bank. Sam’s work experience in the United States provided him first-hand experience in navigating the complexities of cross border wealth management which he now uses to assist clients. He gained unique insights working with hedge funds, private equity funds, and diversified asset managers that he now applies to client portfolio construction. Sam is passionate about applying institutional risk management and portfolio diversification strategies for clients.

Sam holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario with a specialization in Finance and Economics. Sam is licensed in the United States with FINRA to advise clients on cross-border issues. Sam is a CFA Charterholder.

Laura has worked in the wealth management industry since 1995, becoming an integral member of the Steele Wealth Management team in 2000. Laura passionately believes in a client-centric approach and focuses on building long-term, strong client relationships. She engages with clients to help chart the wisest course to meet their capital and cash flow needs in a manner that aligns with their vision and values. She connects with clients regularly to stay current on their financial, business and personal situations. Her expertise involves insightfully helping clients navigate life's biggest challenges like cross border moves, divorce, career change, elder care, or managing an inheritance.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from Queen's University. She is a Portfolio Manager holding the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM ®) designation and is licensed to trade derivative strategies. In addition, Laura is licensed in the US with FINRA to advise clients on cross-border issues.
