Happy Wednesday!
A quick note before we get to this week's action: your DA Italy leadership team is taking a two-week hiatus. We're spending time with family, recharging, and getting ready for the big push ahead which will be making sure every single one of our members requests an overseas ballot and votes.
So while we're off resting up, we're leaving you with one job. And it's the most important one of the year.
This week's action: Request your overseas ballot
Right now, only 20% of our membership has requested their ballot.
Twenty percent. We can do so much better than that!
If you haven't requested your ballot yet, please do it today. Not this weekend. Not "when things calm down." Go to votefromabroad.org right now, while you're reading this. It takes about five minutes.
Critically important: ask to receive your ballot by EMAIL
When you fill out your ballot request, check the box to have your ballot delivered by email or online.
This matters more than ever. Between the Trump administration's ongoing interference with the US Postal Service and the ordinary delays of international mail, relying on the post to deliver your blank ballot is a gamble we don't need to take. Requesting delivery by email cuts the Postal Service out of half the journey entirely and it gives you significantly more time to complete your ballot and get it back to your local election official before the deadline.
Official overseas ballots for the General Election start going out on September 19. Get your request in well before then so you're at the front of the line.

Just hit reply to this email or click the button below and tell us what you need. Our volunteers are Vote from Abroad and FVAP-certified, they know the quirks of all 50 states' rules, and they'll walk you through the form step by step.
One more thing:
After you've requested your ballot, send this email to three other Americans in Italy.
YOU are a more persuasive messenger than we will ever be. Researchers studying friend-to-friend voter mobilization measured an 8.3 percentage point increase in turnout. This is far beyond what mass emails or calls from strangers achieve because we listen to people we know and trust in a way we simply don't listen to a campaign.
