Candice Kerestan's 2021 Birthday Fundraiser
As many of you know, Democrats Abroad has been a big part of my life since I moved to Germany seven(!) years ago, and it’s remarkable what the organization has accomplished in that time! This past election cycle, we engaged Americans abroad like never before and delivered decisive votes in races across the United States.
But as they say, “after the election is before the election”, and it’s important to me that we continue setting up Democrats for success in 2022. As I start this next year of my life, I invite you to join me in making a contribution to Democrats Abroad, an organization near and dear to me.
Donations are made to Democrats Abroad (Democratic Party Committee Abroad) and not to any candidate for Federal Office.
Donations to Democrats Abroad are not tax-deductible.

DPCA Representative, Germany; Düsseldorf-Ruhr Chapter Chair
Hi, I'm Aileen Dinin, the chair of the Düsseldorf-Ruhrgebiet chapter of Democrats Abroad Germany. I was previously the Ruhrgebiet Precinct Captain. I'm a native New Yorker, although I vote in Austin, Texas. I have lived in Essen (and in Germany) for five years. My husband (also a Democrats Abroad member) works for a large German utility company, and that's what brought us here. I got started early in politics - somewhere in my parents house is a toddler-size t-shirt that says "Vote for my dad, John Dinin", from my father's two decades in local politics. Although that shirt had an elephant on it, I shifted to the left pretty early on and have stayed there ever since. I'm definitely an issues voter, and the issues I care about include healthcare (particularly women's health), labor rights, and equality for all people. I'm looking forward to working with Democrats in the Düsseldorf and Ruhrgebiet areas!
