Americas DNC Representative Election
Immediately following the adjournment of the full DPCA meeting being held on September 9th, an Americas Regional Meeting will be called to elect a regional DNC Representative to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Ken Sherman. DPCA Voting Representatives from the Americas will be the electors for this meeting.
Nominations will be accepted from the floor, and then the body will vote. Gender balance will be determined after the Global DNC position is filled at the meeting immediately preceding the Regional Meeting.
An NEC is not mandated for this election in the Charter.
The elected representative will serve until the gaveling out at the 2023 convention in August.
Since Regional meetings are mandated in the Charter to follow DPCA rules, we would need 40% (24) of the Americas DPCA Voting Reps to reach quorum.
