About Jasmine
When Jasmine was a child
Full of fire and seeking direction
Trustworthy sages told her she could change the world.
She believed them
and set out to make things, people,
and experiences
more relatable, more bearable
with words—
reading them, writing them, speaking them.
Jasmine got older and realized the task would prove more difficult than anticipated,
but that didn’t stop her from trying.
She still believes that by changing the space within her reach
word by word,
she is effectively changing the world,
and when she leaves it,
she hopes her children understand that
raising their voices is often the rawest expression of conviction,
and the pen is still mightier than the sword
