Amsterdam CanalPride 2022

 

 

Now more than ever, with states passing "Don't Say Gay" laws, criminalizing parents for helping their trans children, and attacking the rights and lives of the members of our community--not to mention the destruction of the right to privacy via the Supreme Court's attack on Roe v Wade, which will have implications for our community (potential consequences include the decriminalization of homosexuality and the elimination of marriage equality, both predicated on the right to privacy established in Griswold and Roe)--it is time for us to come together, show our pride and our strength as a community, and stand up for our rights.  We need to get out the vote of every American--gay and straight, cis and trans, black, brown, white and every color of the rainbow in-between.  

That's why DA-Netherlands and the DA Global LGBTQ+ Caucus is inviting you to join us in Amsterdam for CanalPride the weekend of August 5-7.

This is an important political manifestation for us, but let's face it, it's also going to be a lot of fun.
