HAPPY YEAR OF THE HORSE! Please join the DA France Diversity Caucus as we celebrate the Year of theHorse 2026 at Autour du Yangtse, a Chinese restaurant specializing in xiaolongbao(小笼包)or "soup dumplings" — a type of dumpling especially popular in Shanghai (Eastern China), and one of the many types of foods eaten at this time of year across Asia in observance of the new year!
Lunar New Year is celebrated across East and Southeast Asia, including China, Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond, marking renewal, family, and collective resilience. The Year of the Horse in the ancient Chinese zodiac represents independence, movement, courage, and a refusal to be controlled. This year also adds the “Fire” element, which adds moral intensity, transformation, and outspoken truth. 2026 will not be a quiet year — it is a year of standing up, moving forward, and refusing stagnation!
This will be a Chinese banquet-style dinner, with a prix fixe menu, communal seating, and "family style" food service for 36 USD per person. Please note that drinks are not included in this price. Guests will settle their drink bills with the restaurant directly.
