In 2026, Lisa Cooper, Co-Lead for the EMEA region of the Democrats Abroad Black Caucus, established the Black Caucus within Democrats Abroad Norway.

Our Mission

The Democrats Abroad Norway Black Caucus works to uplift Black voices, advance racial equity, and strengthen civic engagement among Americans living in Norway.
While centered on Black perspectives, we welcome all Democrats Abroad members and allies who support these goals.

Why We Exist

We create space for community, connection, and civic participation among Americans abroad while ensuring Black voices are represented within Democrats Abroad. Through local engagement and global collaboration, we help strengthen democratic participation from Norway.

 How We Work

The caucus operates with autonomy while being supported by the country leadership and connected to the global Black Caucus.
It is led by a Chair and a small steering committee of volunteers.
