DAGT Open Positions!


Democrats Abroad Guatemala needs YOU to help get out the vote for the 2020 Presidential Election!

 

We NEED individuals to fill these positions to help us maximize our efforts to get democrats living abroad registered in time to vote. With an average time commitment of less than 8 hours a month, you can contribute to the work Democrats Abroad is doing to make sure every vote counts.

Position description for Secretary: The Secretary shall maintain a current list of members of the organization (containing the name, mail and e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers and U.S. voting district/State and such other information as the DPCA may from time to time require), draft minutes of monthly meetings, and maintain all files and administrative records of the organization. The minutes books shall be open for inspection by members. The secretary shall consult with the International Secretary from time to time on membership related matters.

Position description for Treasurer: The Treasurer shall manage the finances of the organization, maintain its financial reports to members and make and maintain such financial reports as may be required by law (including without limitation the laws and regulations of the United States and the several States applicable to political parties and contributions to them). All such records shall be open for inspection by members. The Treasurer shall consult with the International Treasurer of Democrats Abroad from time to time on matters concerning the maintenance of financial records and financial reporting (notably to the United States Federal Election Commission).

Position description Guatemala City MeetUp Group Chair: This informal position fosters membership growth and outreach, and facilitates voter registration and ballot request activities in all election years. In addition to Guatemala City, MeetUp groups are active in the Lago Atitlán region and the Occidente region, and we would like to start one in Huehuetenango where many dual citizens reside.
