Pints, Politics & Democracy at Hurley's!
It's Election Night in America — and we're watching it unfold together in Montréal!
On Tuesday, November 3rd, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., join Democrats Abroad Québec for another special Election Night edition of our Pints & Politics gatherings at Hurley's Irish Pub, in the heart of downtown Montréal!
From coast to coast, Americans will be heading to the polls to elect a new Congress and decide the outcome of hundreds of important state and local races.
Here in Montréal, we'll be following the results live, sharing reactions, exchanging perspectives, and enjoying an evening of good conversation, good company & perhaps a pint or two! 🍻
Whether you're excited, anxious, cautiously optimistic, or simply a political junkie who can't look away from the election coverage, you don't have to spend Election Night watching the returns alone!
🗳️ What to Expect
📺 Live Election Night Coverage: Follow the results as they come in from across the United States, with particular attention to the races for the U.S. House, Senate, governorships & other key contests.
🍻 Pints & Politics: An informal, friendly atmosphere to share your thoughts, reactions, hopes & concerns as the evening unfolds.
🤝 Community & Camaraderie: Reconnect with fellow Americans living abroad, meet new friends & get to know members of Democrats Abroad Québec.
🍔 Food & Drinks: Hurley's full selection of pub fare and beverages will be available for purchase.
No speeches, no formal program — just good company, lively political conversation & democracy unfolding before our eyes!
🇨🇦 American Friends & Canadian Allies Welcome!
You don't need to be a member of Democrats Abroad to attend. American citizens, their Canadian friends, partners & other supporters are welcome to join us.
Whether you've attended one of our previous Election Night gatherings or this will be your first, we'd love to see you there!
🚧 We strongly encourage everyone to use public transit! With the Montréal Canadiens playing at home that evening, combined with ongoing road construction throughout downtown, particularly along Sainte-Catherine Street, traffic and parking in the area may be especially challenging. Save yourself the hassle and consider taking the Métro or REM!
Accessibility:Hurley's is located in a historic building, and some areas may not be wheelchair accessible. Please contact the organizers in advance if you have specific accessibility needs.

Whatever the results, let's experience Election Night together — one state, one race & one pint at a time! 🇺🇸🗳️🍻
☕ Prefer a Quieter, More Relaxed Atmosphere?
Looking for a smaller, more intimate gathering, a quieter atmosphere, or simply prefer coffee & conversation over pints & pub crowds?
Democrats Abroad Québec is also hosting an alcohol-free Election Night Watch Party at Café Roxane in Montréal's Mile End!
With space for just 50 guests, it's a cozy, welcoming alternative for those who prefer a more laid-back setting while following the election results.
Same election, same community, two great ways to experience Election Night together!
