It's Election Night in America — and we're watching it unfold together in Montréal!

On Tuesday, November 3rd, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., join Democrats Abroad Québec for a special, more intimate Election Night gathering at Café Roxane, a charming neighbourhood café in Montréal's Mile End!

From coast to coast, Americans will be heading to the polls to elect a new Congress and decide the outcome of hundreds of important state and local races.

Here in Montréal, we'll be following the results live, sharing reactions, exchanging perspectives, and enjoying an evening of good conversation, good company & perhaps a coffee or two! ☕

Whether you're excited, anxious, cautiously optimistic, or simply a political junkie who can't look away from the election coverage, you don't have to spend Election Night watching the returns alone!

With room for just 50 guests, this gathering offers a smaller, more relaxed alternative to the traditional pub watch party — perfect for those who prefer a quieter, alcohol-free setting.

• 📺 Live Election Night Coverage: Follow the results as they come in from across the United States, with particular attention to the races for the U.S. House, Senate, governorships & other key contests.
• ☕ Coffee & Conversation: An informal, welcoming atmosphere to share your thoughts, reactions, hopes & concerns as the evening unfolds.
• 🤝 Community & Camaraderie: Reconnect with fellow Americans living abroad, meet new friends & get to know members of Democrats Abroad Québec.
• 🥐 Coffee, Tea & Treats: Enjoy Café Roxane's selection of specialty coffees, teas, non-alcoholic beverages, pastries & other café treats, available for purchase.
• 🌿 An Alcohol-Free Evening: No alcohol will be served at this location, making it a welcoming alternative for anyone who prefers a café atmosphere over a pub.

No speeches, no formal program — just good company, lively political conversation & democracy unfolding before our eyes!

You don't need to be a member of Democrats Abroad to attend. American citizens, their Canadian friends, partners & other supporters are welcome to join us.

This is a smaller, more intimate gathering with a maximum capacity of 50 attendees. Space is limited, so please register in advance to reserve your spot!

If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please cancel your RSVP so someone else can join us.

🚇 Getting There & Accessibility

Café Roxane is located in Montréal's Mile End neighbourhood, just west of Boulevard Saint-Laurent, with several convenient public transit options nearby:

• 🚇 Métro — Orange Line: Mont-Royal station (approximately 15–20 minutes on foot).
• 🚌 STM Bus 55 — Boulevard Saint-Laurent: Get off near the intersection of Saint-Laurent & Villeneuve, just a short walk from the café.
• 🚌 STM Bus 80 — Avenue du Parc: Get off near Parc & Villeneuve, a short walk from the café.

🚧 We strongly encourage everyone to use public transit! With the Montréal Canadiens playing at home that evening, and ongoing road construction in various parts of the city, particularly along Sainte-Catherine Street downtown, traffic and parking may be challenging. Save yourself the hassle and consider taking the Métro or bus!

Accessibility: Café Roxane is a neighbourhood café with an accessible entrance reported by local business listings. However, please contact the organizers in advance if you have specific mobility or accessibility needs so we can confirm the arrangements.
