The Democratic National Convention

August 17 - 20, 2020

The convention is an opportunity to show the American people what we stand for as a party and unite around our shared values. In addition to fulfilling their nominating duties, Democratic Party members from across the country will also work together during the convention to adopt the official 2020 Democratic Party platform.

Democrats Abroad Germany is proud to have to "local" delegates among the DA 2020 Delegation to the Convention!

Global Presidential Primary (US-Wahllokale für die Vorwahlen in Deutschland)

3.-10. März 2020 – in über 25 Städten in Deutschland

Im März haben AmerikanerInnen die Gelegenheit, in Deutschland einen Stimmzettel in einem von uns organisierten Wahllokal in mehr als 25 Städte abzugeben. Hierbei nehmen AmerikanerInnen direkt an den US-Vorwahlen teil, indem sie für ihre favorisierte Kandidatin oder ihren favorisierten Kandidaten abstimmen. Im Sommer 2020 werden 21 Delegierte die Democrats Abroad bei der Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee vertreten, bei welcher die Demokratische Partei ihre Kandidatin/ihren Kandidaten für die Präsidentschaftswahl im November bestimmt. Die in Deutschland abgegebenen Stimmen werden dabei berücksichtigt und haben Einfluss auf das Gesamtergebnis.
