DAG Annual General Meeting & Executive Committee Elections
Posted by Germany ,
We’re excited, and honored, to announce that Pete Buttigieg is coming to Berlin for our Annual General Meeting. He will be the guest speaker during the evening dinner on April 1st!
Pete is the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He is one of America’s youngest mayors, and the Washington Post has called him “the most interesting mayor you’ve never heard of.” An officer in U.S. Navy Reserve, Pete took a leave of absence to serve in Afghanistan in 2014, earning the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his counterterrorism work. Under his leadership, South Bend has addressed its toughest challenges and is growing at the fastest rate in years.
DAG Annual General Meeting & Executive Committee Elections
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a chance for all members of Democrats Abroad Germany to discuss our work over the past year and to lay the groundwork for our Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts in the 2018 mid-term elections.
This year is an important election year for DA Germany, as we will be electing a new Executive Committee (ExCom). Have you considered getting more active? Here’s your chance!
DA International recently sent a revised list of “job descriptions” that show country committee Excom positions from a local, national and international perspective. While these have not been approved by the current DAG Excom, anyone interested in running for higher office may be interested in reading it (click here)
