Co-Chair Candidates

Zachary James Miller

I’m Zachary Miller and I’m running for Diversity Caucus Co-Chair. I stepped in as a Co-Chair during the last term after being out of DAF elective politics for a few years. I’m committed to fighting for democracy because that’s exactly what we’re doing now. Democracy has never been more at stake in our lifetimes than it is now. I bring decades of leadership and institutional knowledge to this position having first joined DAF in 1992. I served five terms as Vice-Chair of DAF, many years as Ex Comm member, as Chair of the Minority Caucus of DAF, and as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in LA, (2000) & Charlotte, NC (2012). For over twenty-five years I’ve been a spokesperson for DA, appearing on TV and in various media worldwide especially when I organized the initial and subsequent campaigns for President Barack Obama in France, serving as the party’s and the candidate’s spokesperson in France and internationally. I’m a filmmaker with my French Film and TV production company and I recently began my publishing company in the USA. I’m writing my political book which will be published this year titled, “100 Days into Fascism: Trump, Musk, & Project 2025”. "

Kaila O’Neill

Bonjour, je m'appelle Kaila O'Neill. I’m running to strengthen the diverse relationship between the U.S. and France as Co-Chair in the Diversity Caucus for Democrats Abroad, and I ask for your vote. From the beautiful streets of San Francisco to the halls of La Sorbonne, my journey has always been about building connections. Together, we can continue to amplify those connections and make sure our voices resonate in the halls of global decision-making. Deeply rooted in American, Filipino and French cultures, I have spent my life embracing diversity and building bridges.

With experience working for the Paris Organising Committee of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, or in the fields of international relations and net-zero energy initiatives, I am dedicated to advancing goals that matter most to us as Americans in France. Building bonds within our communities by organizing events, fostering open dialogue, and promoting collaboration, equity, and sustainability. Having lived and studied in Paris, I recognize the power of cultural exchange and education in shaping a brighter, more unified future. As your representative, I will embrace our shared values of liberty, equality, and fraternity while ensuring that every voice, regardless of background, is heard.
