Who We Are

Democrats Abroad is the official arm of the Democratic Party representing Americans who live outside the US. Our mission is to provide Americans living abroad a voice in our government and to elect Democrats by mobilizing the overseas vote.

 

Where We Are

The EMEA region has active members in dozens of countries without an official country committee (Non-CC countries) and active committees in 26 countries (EMEA list). You can benefit from all Democrats Abroad has to offer regardless of where you live!

 

Our Activities

Our organization is 100% volunteer-run and membership is free! Organizers in your area would love to get in touch with you to connect you to other members, share our local and global (online) events, and help you Vote from Abroad. Do you want to get more involved? There are so many ways to make a difference—particularly in 2024, we need engaged, motivated volunteers to help spread the message that:

  • Americans abroad can vote,
  • it's normal to need a bit of support while voting from abroad, and
  • our votes can be the margin of victory for the candidates and causes we believe in.

There's no time to lose! The last day of voting in the US in 2024 is on November 5. State primaries began in January and will continue right up until the Democratic National Convention in August. Outreach over the spring and summer of 2024 will be crucial to ensuring that voting access is available to as many US citizens abroad as possible.

From individual tiny actions, to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) drives and live trainings in voter support, to community-building social events—the EMEA regional team is here to help. We're always looking for more volunteers. Why not you? Contact us at [email protected] and get started!
