UPDATE May 19th: The Republicans' Big Bad Billionaire Bill passed out of the House Budget Committee last night and is now in Rules before going to a floor vote this week. This bill extends the 2017 tax cuts for corporations and billionaires, massively cuts Medicare, green energy, student aid and more. The Republicans have stuffed the bill with brutal cuts and power grabs from their far-right wish list. These include:

• Drastically expanding ICE funding to nearly $80 billion (insane).
• $351 billion in cuts to student aid — including ending Biden’s student debt forgiveness program and making it harder to qualify for Pell Grants.

• Limiting federal judges’ authority and making it easier for Congress to sabotage future regulations.
