MAGA’s Big Bad Billionaires bill is now in the hands of the House of Representatives. 

Republican Congress are aiming to finalize this bill by July 4, so the time to call is now.

Why Your Call Matters
The budget bill is a devastating attack on our families, friends and communities back in the United States.

If the bill passes:

• 15 million Americans will lose their health care—that’s 5% of the US population.
  
  
• Medicaid will be slashed by nearly a trillion dollars—the biggest cut in U.S. history. This doesn’t just hurt people on Medicaid. When hospitals lose funding, they close—rural and small-town hospitals across North Carolina are especially at risk.
  
  
• Food assistance (SNAP) will be cut by 20%. Millions of children will go hungry. Veterans, seniors, and working families will face impossible choices between food, rent, and medicine.
  
  
• ICE’s budget will be tripled, giving it more funding than many national militaries.
  
  
• Green energy will be defunded—and taxed. That means higher energy bills for working families and a dangerous slowdown in the transition away from fossil fuels. It puts polluters first, worsens the climate crisis, and abandons communities already suffering from extreme weather.
  
  
• The rich get even richer. This is the biggest transfer of wealth from working families to the wealthy we’ve ever seen.
  
  
• And somehow, it still adds $3.3 trillion to the deficit.
