6    Communication Report    Shashanda
In 2025 there were 23 events: 9 coffees, 5 evening socials and 9 other events. Included in the other events were the DA Mexico AGM (a great success), PRIDE, the Fourth of July Social and a No Kings Rally in June.

The Communications effort is working to replace lots of emails to members with one monthly update newsletter for the chapter, as we know everyone will be inundated with many political emails this year.

Updates to events will be posted on the DACB Facebook page, as well as Banderas News and the Vallarta Calendar.

Shashanda thanked everyone for their assistance in her time on the Board and said she will miss us as she returns to the States.
7    GOTV Report    Jodi
We have eight (8) Voter Assistance Officers in Costa Banderas. We need 8 to 10 more to lighten the load and expand our ability to help citizens, especially in October when the ballots need to be returned.

Our Global Voter Registration/Ballot Request Kick-Off for 2026 was January 15 and 16. We helped 19 citizens, which was 10 more than in 2024.

We will have regular Vote from Abroad Centers in Vallarta and Bucerias. The location in Bucerias is Miguel Angel restaurant in Centro. In Vallarta, the location will be moving each month.

Bucerias events will follow the schedule below:
●    Begin on February 16 from 9 am to 1 pm.
●    In April and May they will be every other Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm (April 1, April 15, April 29, May 13, and May 27).
●    There will be no events for June or July, but volunteers will be available for contacts from voters and referrals from the Puerto Vallarta Team.

●    September and October will have events every Wednesday (September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 as well as October 7, 14 and 21). For each event, there will be at least one volunteer to assist voters.
