The time has come to VOTE in the midterm elections! Registration deadlines are coming up in several states so please act now. Voting from abroad requires 2 steps:
- Registering with your state election board and requesting your ballot. This must be done every year by filling out the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). Any easy way to do this is via the website votefromabroad.org.
- Submitting your ballot. Follow the instructions on methods of submission. If a fax or physical ballot is required, there is a free service through the US embassy, more information here: id.usembassy.gov/voting-2018-u-s-elections/
For other voting related questions (tax implications, which state you're eligible to vote in, etc) please see americansinindonesia.org/voting-abroad/
If you are not able to return your state's ballot in time, you can still vote using the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot. We will be happy to help you with that at our next get together on October 21st!
