What's In A Name? 

Les Wexner's in the news twice this week, due to lingering doubts about his past association with Jeffrey Epstein. Most notably, perhaps, he's stepping down as chair of the OSU Wexner Medical Center board. Read more in the Ohio Capital Journal here.

In a separate Columbus Dispatch article, the advisory board charged with approving naming deals, turned down a request to remove Wm Oxley Thompson's name from the OSU main library. This request, citing Thompson's support of segregated schools in the early 20th century, dragged on for six years, amid research outside university files. This included Thompson's personal correspondence and public statements. 

At the same time, others at the university are calling for removal of Wexner's name from a sports facility, due to his connection with Epstein. The embedded video in this report features a former OSU wrestler calling it out: Woody or Wexner!
