DAUK Political Book Club - Nobody's Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre

On Tuesday August 18 we'll meet on Zoom to discuss Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice by Virginia Roberts Giuffre.  Virginia was one of the earliest and most prominent victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his circle to speak out against the sexual abuse and sexual trafficking she suffered.  Her revelations have helped bring down the man formerly known as Prince Andrew.  Today in America and the UK we are still seeing the ramifications of her battle to be heard, in life and in this posthumous memoir.

"Nibbie" British Book Awards

This is about power, corruption, industrial-scale sex abuse and the way in which institutions sided with the perpetrator over his victims.  But it is also about how a young woman becomes a hero.
