Frankfurt Looks Back and Forward at December Holiday Party

Holiday party cranks up the spirit for a busy 2026

By Dede Williams

Between Thanksgiving and the start of 2025 Christmas season, Democrats Abroad’s Frankfurt and Greater Hessen chapter celebrated its by now traditional holiday get-together.  Instead of meeting at a restaurant, this time we planned a potluck supper, in the spacious event room of Frankfurt’s Christ the King Anglican/Episcopal church, where we welcomed around 50 people.

Munching on turkey and dressing, tasty veggies and dessert – all contributed by members, we sweetened the holiday mood by tasting local wines. The casual atmosphere proved to be the right format to review and discuss our activities of the waning political year, when we organized four!  protest actions against the Trump/Vance regime, and start drafting first plans for the pivotal year ahead.

In the weeks ahead, we’ll be doubling down on preparations for next year’s midterm elections while calling all our members to ask how they can help to Get Out the Vote. And we’ll keep mobilizing, in tandem with all like-minded democrats, to banish the Maga minions to their well-deserved sidelines.
