No Dictators: Lights for Democracy in Copenhagen

Join us on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 for a No Dictators: Lights for Democracy protest event in central Copenhagen. We'll begin gathering at 5:30 pm as the sun sets. The event will start at 6:00 pm as we bring light into the darkness in a quiet candlelight vigil for democracy. Come together with us on a day of peaceful protest in the U.S. and around the world. The oligarchs and dictators will not win if we stand together to show that we care about democracy. Sometimes the actions that speak the loudest, and are most powerful, are the quiet ones.
Come with battery-operated lights and lanterns. If you bring a sign, make sure to attach a light (or consider making your sign into a paper lantern). We all have a light to shine.
Because voting always matters, our voter assistance volunteers will be available before and after the event if you have any ballot request or return questions.
