8/2 - Vancouver Pride Parade

Democrats Abroad is so happy to again be marching in the Vancouver Pride Parade!  The 2025 parade was the first one in which our BC Mainland chapter marched and we could not have been made more welcome by the city.  We are planning to have another high-energy group marching in this year's parade and we would like for you to be a part of it!  By marching in the parade, you can show your support for the 2SLGBTQAI+ community while also helping inform the many Americans that reside in BC that they can exercise their US voting rights while living in Canada.

If you're interested in marching in the parade, then please RSVP to this event.  Some things to consider for the parade:

• ☀️ It's the height of summer, so consider whether you are physically able to handle the conditions for walking/standing for the length of the parade.
• 🕙 You'll need to be available from approximately 10:30am - 4:30pm on Sunday, August 2nd as this is the expected timeframe for the parade staging and execution.
• 🏳️‍🌈 The parade runs along Pacific Boulevard, starting at Pacific Center and ending at Howe St.
• 🍭 While we march, we will be handing out DA stickers, information sheets and candy to people in the crowd.
• 👕 We'll be providing DA-branded Pride T-Shirts to our marchers.

When you RSVP, please do so individually for each person that will be marching.  That allows us to know exactly who will be joining the parade and how to contact them.  For those of you would like to march as a family, or have any other questions, please email our Programs & Events Manager, Manoj Shankar ([email protected]).

If you plan on watching the parade, but not marching, then there is no need to RSVP.  But please consider showing your support by wearing DA-branded items - you can see the current list of available items in our DA Canada Shop.
