9/17 - SFU Burnaby - Voter Outreach Writing Party

Democrats Abroad is happy to recommend a unique event being hosted by Simon Fraser University (SFU) Professor Melek Ortabasi.  Join fellow U.S. citizens, friends, and colleagues at the SFU Burnaby campus for a letter-writing party to support voter participation in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections.

The event will use Vote Forward’s letter-writing program to encourage traditionally under-represented registered voters in the United States to participate in the upcoming election. Participants will personalize letters using templates, prepare them for mailing, and send them to voters in October.

Letter templates, envelopes, pens, and refreshments will be provided at the event. A donation to help cover the cost of supplies and U.S. postage is appreciated.

No previous experience is necessary.  U.S. citizens, friends, colleagues, and anyone interested in supporting voter participation are welcome.  Bring yourself and a friend or two!
