American Thanksgiving in Vancouver

Join Dems Abroad for a classic American Thanksgiving Celebration!

We had such a great time last year, we decided to return to The Pleasant on Main St. for another Thanksgiving dinner!  We are so excited to have you join us and indulge in the warmth of community.  Come share in delicious food, delightful company, and some festive surprises.  Celebrate gratitude, connection, and the joy of gathering.

Feast Highlights
Our dinner will be served buffet-style, and the menu includes classic Thanksgiving dishes plus a selection of vegetarian/vegan-friendly options to ensure that everyone can enjoy. Our expected menu is as follows:

●      Main Dishes: Roast Turkey with Herb Stuffing*, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Freshly Baked Dinner Rolls

●      Vegetarian/Vegan Options: Roasted Root Vegetables, Candied Yams, Green Beans, Roasted Maple Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash

●      Dessert: Pumpkin and Pecan pies, plus tea and coffee

●      Drinks: Available at the venue for an additional cost.

*There may be a vegetarian-friendly herb stuffing option.

Please note that the menu may vary, due to product availability and/or shipping challenges.

Important Venue Information

Reservations are Required: Due to limited seating and the need for the venue to prepare food accordingly, please book in advance.

●      Capacity

○      We will have a maximum of 50 seats in the event room of The Pleasant.

○      Seating location is based upon when one arrives for the event.

●      Accessibility

○      The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Note: If the event sells out and you would still like to attend, please contact us to see if we can accommodate you.

Pricing

●      Adults: $35 USD (approx. $49 CAD). Price includes GST, 18% gratuity, and allows for a small donation to our DA chapter.

●      Children (ages 12 and younger): $18 USD (approx. $25 CAD). Price includes GST and 18% gratuity.

Please note that tickets can only be purchased by US Citizens or US Green Cardholders. Non-US citizens are welcome as guests but must have their ticket purchased by a US citizen or US Green Cardholder.

All RSVPs must be received by end-of-day Tuesday, November 11th to ensure everyone is accommodated and to allow time for The Pleasant to purchase all the required items for meal preparation.
