In June, millions of people took to the streets and ruined Trump’s birthday parade with protests around the world. The story of that day was about the strength of a movement rising against his authoritarian power grabs.
Here in Nice, we gathered in front of the replica of the Statue of Liberty to protest. Nearly 100 of us came out to declare, loud and clear: No Tyrants! But we all knew that June 14 was just the beginning.
Our next day of resistance is set for Saturday, October 18 when millions of Americans around the world (including those of us in France) will once again take to the streets for a global day of defiance to protest the Trump regime's authoritarian takeover and the Republican Party's acquiescence.
Join us as we raise our voices to send a clear message to Trump and his administration: America has no tyrants.
Note: As with our previous protests, we are required to apply for an official permit to assemble on the Quai des États-Unis. Our applications have always been approved in the past, and we have every reason to expect the same outcome this time. Once we receive the permit, we’ll provide updates on our Riviera webpage, our Facebook page and in our WhatsApp groups.
