The Open Government Data (The Book) is about the principles behind that movement — yes, it is a movement — and its development in the United States. Topics include principles of open government data, the history of the movement, applications to transparency and civic engagement, a brief legal history, data quality, APIs, prioritization, civic hacking, case studies, and paradoxes in transparency.

This social event is open to all our members and guests. We welcome you all to come and meet Julia Bryan, the International Chair of Democrats Abroad. We will give a brief presentation particularly where these issues stand in the Washington political discourse. Join us at our location, time and entry fee ($5) to formalize our viewpoint as Americans living abroad. Entry includes drinks, such as wine and water.
