URGENT: NC Voters! The Griffin Challenge is Over!!

Update May 7: Jefferson Griffin has conceded the NC supreme court election, following the district court order to the NC state elections board to certify Justice Allison Riggs victory

Update May 6: Good news! A federal district court judge (Trump appointee no less) ruled Monday night that NC must certify the Democratic win in the NC State Supreme Court election. The opinion states that under both the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the U.S. Constitution, a state can't "alter the rules of an election after the fact and apply those changes retroactively to only a select group of voters.” It also can't “redefine its class of eligible voters but offer no process to those who may have been misclassified as ineligible.”

The ruling has been put on hold for 7 days to allow the Republican opponent, Griffin, time to file an appeal. If he does file an appeal, the opinion will have to be upheld by the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and (if taken up) by the U.S. Supreme Court, but it's a very strong opinion. Stay tuned!!
Update April 23: A Federal Appeals court has granted a temporary pause, or "stay", on the cure process as a NC judge considers the case. More information here

Update April 17:
The NC Board of Elections (BoE) has now ruled out challenges to all ballots except 1,409 overseas and military votes from Guilford County, as well as up to 266 never resided votes. These ballots were cast in last year's State Supreme Court election and are being challenged by Jefferson Griffin, the failed Republican Supreme Court candidate in N.C.
