No More Unconstitutional Wars

On June 21, Trump launched airstrikes against a foreign country without Congressional approval and without a declaration of war. Trump’s decision pulled the United States into yet another Middle Eastern conflict without the consent of the American people.

This isn’t just reckless. It’s unconstitutional.

Under Article I of the Constitution, only Congress has the power to declare war. No president has the right to bypass that authority.

We’ve seen this playbook before: presidents sidestepping Congress to engage in endless, costly, and destabilizing wars. We cannot let it happen again.

It’s time to push back. In both the House and Senate, lawmakers have introduced War Powers Resolutions to block Trump’s illegal escalation and reassert Congress’s constitutional authority. In the Senate, Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) is leading the effort, while in the House, a bipartisan coalition led by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is working to force a vote on their resolution.

This is a critical moment. Will your elected representatives uphold the Constitution—or enable another unlawful war?

CALL SCRIPT:
Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME]. I’m a constituent of [REPRESENTATIVE/SENATOR NAME] who votes in [CITY].

I’m calling to demand that [REP/SENATOR NAME] support the War Powers Resolution introduced by [Representatives Khanna and Massie / Senator Kaine] to block Trump’s unauthorized military action.

Launching airstrikes without Congressional approval is a clear violation of the Constitution. We must not allow one person to unilaterally drag the country into war.

I ask [REP/SENATOR NAME] to:

  • Support and publicly back the War Powers Resolution
  • Condemn Trump’s unconstitutional use of force
  • Act now to prevent further escalation and protect American lives

Every moment counts. Every voice matters.

Congress must stand up—not only for peace, but for the rule of law.

Thank you for taking action.
