Democrats Abroad is heartbroken to learn of the murder of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, one of the hostages taken as part of the brutal attacks on October 7th. Hersh’s parents Rachel and Jon recently spoke movingly at the Democratic National Convention about their son, the need to bring home the hostages, and the imperative of bringing the fighting in Gaza to an end.
As his family said during the convention, “there is a surplus of agony on all sides of the tragic conflict in the Middle East. In a competition of pain there are no winners.”
