HANDS OFF Mass Mobilization Protest, Saturday, April 5--Ottawa!

Please join us for the first major day of action confronting the Trump administration.

This is an international effort, with events planned in all 50 states, as well as by American citizens and friends all around the world. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk think the United States belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on. The rallying cry for this day of action - “Hands Off” – sends a clear message to Washington that American citizens want to protect their Social Security, healthcare, environment, personal data, bodily autonomy, our right to vote from abroad, our freedoms, and much more. We are rising up with fellow citizens and friends around the world to cry, "Hands off!"

This mass mobilization day is a message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the United States, people are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop to the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

Please note, as members of DA, we are restricted from commenting on international affairs, so if you plan to be visibly identifiable as a member of Democrats Abroad, we encourage you to bring a sign that focuses on what we stand for, such as democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. 

To participate, please join us at 1:30p.m. on Saturday, April 5. We'll meet at the steps on the south side of the U.S. Embassy at York St., and will then walk around the Embassy to rally at Major's Hill Park until 3p.m.
