Earth Month Climate Film –The White House Effect,April 7 - 20
As part of Democrats Abroad Earth Month programming, we are excited to offer free streaming access to the documentary The White House Effect (1.5 hours) from April 7–20. This powerful film explores how decades of political decisions shaped the U.S. response to the climate crisis—and why this moment matters so much for our immediate future.
Through archival footage and firsthand accounts from key figures in U.S. climate policy, the documentary traces how the United States—once poised to lead on climate action—became entangled in decades of political conflict, industry pressure, and missed opportunities. It’s an eye‑opening introduction to the history behind our current moment—and a reminder of what’s at stake in the 2026 midterms.
RSVP to receive the streaming link for the film The White House Effect, along with an invitation to a panel discussion with the film’s directors/producers, the DNC's Environment and Climate Crisis Council (ECCC) chair and our own DA Environment and Climate Crisis Council.
