Remembering US Commandos in the Tarn

OSS ceremony for WWII American commandos in the Tarn

Members of Democrats Abroad will carry the US and OSS flags and lay wreaths at the ceremonies in honor of the two American OSS Special Ops soldiers who lost their lives in the ambush of a German unit during WWII. Bernard Gautier and Robert Spaur died on August 12 1944 and the ceremonies are taking place this same day, on the 82nd anniversary of their passing. Learn more about their mission here.  

Please RSVP* if you plan to attend. We are looking for members interested in laying one of the DA wreaths as well.

11:00 at Le Rialet, Monument aux Morts 
11:30 Aperitif offered by the Mayor of Le Rialet
12:30 Lunch (Please RSVP by Saturday Aug 1)

Le Rialet is just north east of Mazamet.
