Democrats Abroad Spain Celebrates Black History Month
On Feb. 28th at 7pm, the Madrid chapter invites you to an online screening of Coming to America, the 1988 classic starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, and John Amos.
If you haven't seen it, be prepared to hold your sides—it will have you in stitches! You will soon see many of the same characters playing their roles in the soon-to-be-released Coming 2 America, which promises to be even funnier than the first.
Following the 2-hour movie, we will have a quick break. DA Madrid Vice Chair Khephra White will then provoke a few laughs as she moderates a discussion on the importance of representation, specifically in the form of Black joy, in popular culture and the media.
