DA Skåne is a chapter of Democrats Abroad Sweden, the official country committee for US Democrats living in Sweden. We aim to find and organize Americans abroad to express their views about policies and events “back home” – and, of course, get out the vote when it’s election time.

The Skåne chapter fosters a supportive and engaged community through afterworks, letter-writing campaigns, and informative seminars on topics including expat taxes and other issues unique to Americans living overseas. Whether you're newly arrived or a long-time resident, there's a place for you to connect, learn, and make a difference.

We are taking action

In response to the escalating corruption, chaos, and attacks on democracy under the Trump administration, our chapter has expanded its mission beyond voter outreach to include public protest and civic resistance. This summer, we organized a powerful protest in June – covered by Sweden’s national news – and a spirited march in August that made headlines in the regional press.

These events reflect our growing commitment to defending democratic values and resisting the billionaire takeover of our homeland’s government.
