GBC Beyond the Ballot: Voting Rights

Join the Global Black Caucus for the third in our series of issues affecting our community and how we vote on them. Candidates seeking our votes must educate themselves and respond to these issues. This series helps us flex and build our advocacy muscles on the challenges impacting our lives and the lives of folks back home.

On September 20th, we’ll turn to voting rights, a huge topic. We’ll talk about:

• Voting Rights Act

• Gerrymandering

• Criminal justice policies

Then we’ll put all that into action.

You’ll walk away with direct advocacy practice, a framework for evaluating which elected official impacts a certain policy, and a resource sheet for further exploration. It’s a true power hour!
