Good Trouble Lives On!!

Join us for a virtual celebration of John Lewis' life and works - July 17!

In the words of the legendary John Lewis, “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”

This July 17, we invite you to honor his legacy by joining Democrats Abroad Italy in a vibrant, virtual celebration: Good Trouble Lives On: Show Your Solidarity!

Why participate?

John Lewis taught us that “Good trouble” is about standing up for justice through peaceful protest and civic engagement. Even from across the ocean, our voices matter—and together, we can make a powerful statement for a better America.

It's super-easy to get involved!

  1. Create Your Own Protest Sign at Home
Let your creativity shine! Express your hopes, concerns, and demands for justice, equality, and democracy.

  2. Capture your message
Take a photo or a short video holding your sign. Show your passion and commitment!

  3. Submit Your Footage by July 14th
Upload your photo or video to our shared drive using this link.

  4. Watch the magic happen!
We’ll compile all submissions into a moving montage that will be shared across our social media channels on Thursday, July 17th — the day of John Lewis’ passing!

We hope you'll join us making good trouble!

As John Lewis reminded us, “The vote is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have.” Let’s use our voices and creativity to keep the spirit of good trouble alive. Join Democrats Abroad Italy in this inspiring tribute and show the world that Good Trouble Lives On!

We can’t wait to see your signs and celebrate John Lewis’ enduring legacy with you!

“When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something.” — John Lewis
