What to do Wednesday - 21 May 2025

As Democrats living abroad, we know democracy doesn’t stop at the water’s edge. Whether you’re in Parma or Palermo, your voice matters. This week, we’ve got a mix of actions—from protecting public media to celebrating Pride and honoring those who served.

Here’s your Wednesday action plan for 21 May 2025:

Fight back against the MAGA Murder Budget
Now is the time to make our voices heard! The immoral MAGA Murder Budget is being debated today in the House Rules Committee and could come to the floor for a vote as early as May 25. Reach out to your Representatives—tell our GOP members that we see their actions and will hold them accountable for voting to slash Medicaid and harm millions, just to give billionaires a tax break. Urge our Democratic Representatives to be loud and relentless in exposing the truth: this bill will devastate families, seniors, and children so the ultra-wealthy can get richer. Our advocacy matters—let’s make sure Congress knows we are watching and will remember in 2026
