Trump's Unconstitutional Executive Order Against Mail-In Voting

Yet another attack on voting rights has slithered out of the Oval Office, as Donald Trump targets mail-in ballots and attempts to illegally assert federal control over our elections through his latest executive order.

The order is unconstitutional: the States control elections, not the President. It won’t stand. And it’s a transparent attempt to make it harder for U.S. citizens, including those living abroad, to vote.

Trump’s ongoing assault on mail-in voting harms working families, seniors, military voters, Americans with disabilities, and millions of overseas voters who rely on absentee ballots. His hypocrisy is clear: he voted by mail just weeks ago. He knows his only chance to keep the House this year is to suppress the vote.

Democrats Abroad will fight back — in the courts, and through outreach, help desks, and in-person events — to ensure all eligible Americans can vote and have their votes counted.

You can fight back too. Request your ballot today through votefromabroad.org, and make sure you choose email delivery to receive your ballot, not post

By requesting your ballot each year as an overseas citizen, you protect your vote, receive your ballot 45 days ahead of elections, and (if you choose email delivery) will receive your ballot electronically — avoiding postal delays and Trump’s attempts to keep you from voting.

Your vote is your voice. Don’t let anyone take it away.
