Virtual Movie Night: "Just Mercy" Screening and Discussion

We would like to invite you to join us in an online screening of director Destin Daniel Cretton’s Just Mercy, starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx, on Tuesday, June 9th, at 6:00PM, followed by discussion at 8:30PM.

We are bearing witness to difficult times. Following the murder of George Floyd, our hearts are heavy over yet another wrenching consequence of systemic racism. This film is an opportunity for us to draw together as a community and discuss specific actions we can take as DA members to fight this ugly reality.

This is one more example of how crucially important the November election will be.

You will receive a link to our online meeting space after you RSVP. If you are unable to attend the screening at 6:00PM but wish to join in the conversation afterward at 8:30PM, please RSVP anyway.

To view the film on your own time beforehand, choose any of the links listed in this article by Business Insider. Free streaming options are available through Apple TV, FandangoNow, Google Play, Amazon Prime Video, Redbox, the PlayStation Store, Vudu, Microsoft, and YouTube. However, some sites may require a VPN.

Both the screening and the conversation will start promptly on time, so we recommend logging in a bit beforehand. We are looking forward to taking action with you, with all of us together.
