Welcome to the DAF Black Caucus

Welcome to Democrats Abroad France Black Caucus!

In 2024 Democrats Abroad France created a Black Caucus to bring our Community together to address the legislative issues that negatively impact African Americans and communities of Color in the United States.

With Legislation on the ballot in many red states, the DA France Black Caucus will hold Webinars, and host events to reach the African American community in France.

Save These Dates

Several events are being planned for 2024.  Save the dates and join the Black Caucus to keep up on upcoming events and webinars.
abstract background with description of the two events below
Juneteenth Picnic Celebration – Saturday, June 15, 2024.  Location to be announced.  Join us in celebrating a traditional Juneteenth Picnic.  This event will be held in collaboration with other Democrat Abroad Caucus’.  If you wish to volunteer, please join the Black Caucus so we can keep you informed and get you engaged.

Juneteenth Musical Celebration – Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  An evening of musical by Paris based African American singers.  A night of celebration of freedom, unity, liberty, and love.  Location to be announced.  Again, we are looking for volunteers and will collaborate with other DA Caucus’.

A webinar series of issues on the ballot that negatively impact the African American community is being scheduled.  As we move toward election it is important that our members know what we must defeat on ballots across the country, particularly in the red states, that  eliminate Black History from school curriculum, ban books, and destroy reproductive rights.

We must be registered to vote, informed on the issues, and voices in our communities to defend equality, opportunity and justice in the U.S.

Things you can do now

  1. Join the Black Caucus – all members of the family of humankind(ness) are invited!!
  2. Make sure you are registered to vote!
  3. Also join the Global Black Caucus so we add our strength and numbers to the hard work of the Global Black Caucus.
