Why vote for Harris/Walz?

The rationale should be clear on why Harris/Walz should get your vote. Sadly, the lines have been blurred and the truth altered by Trump's media campaigns.

Why Vote Harris/Walz

A Harris/Walz ticket would offer a blend of national and state-level experience, with a focus on social justice, public health, economic recovery, climate action, and inclusivity. Their combined track records suggest a commitment to pragmatic leadership, progressive values, and the ability to unite diverse constituencies. Voters who prioritize these issues may find this ticket particularly appealing.

Voting for a Harris/Walz ticket could appeal to voters for a variety of reasons based on their policy positions, leadership experience, and alignment with key issues. Here’s a summary of why someone might choose to support such a ticket:

 1. Focus on Unity and Pragmatism:

   - Balancing National and State-Level Experience: Kamala Harris brings national experience as Vice President and a former Senator, while Tim Walz offers executive experience as a Governor, as well as his understanding of local and regional issues. This combination could provide a blend of perspectives focused on both big-picture policy and practical governance.

 2. Commitment to Social Justice and Equality:

   - Advocacy for Civil Rights: Harris has long been an advocate for civil rights, focusing on issues like racial justice, voting rights, and criminal justice reform. Walz has also emphasized equity in areas like policing reform and expanding opportunities for marginalized communities in Minnesota.
   - Police Reform and Public Safety: Harris and Walz have both worked on police reform initiatives, with Harris co-sponsoring national legislation like the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act and Walz signing state-level reform measures in Minnesota after George Floyd’s murder.

 3. Strong Public Health and Economic Policies:

   - COVID-19 Leadership: Both Harris and Walz have demonstrated leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. Harris played a key role in the Biden administration’s vaccine rollout and economic recovery plans, while Walz guided Minnesota’s response with a focus on public health, economic relief, and balancing safety with economic reopening.
   - Economic Relief and Growth: Both leaders have supported policies that provide economic relief to working families, such as the American Rescue Plan (supported by Harris) and state-level aid packages (implemented by Walz). Their focus is on building an economy that works for everyone, with an emphasis on fair wages, job growth, and support for small businesses.

 4. Commitment to Climate Change and Clean Energy:

   - Environmental Advocacy: Harris has championed climate initiatives at the national level, including support for the Green New Deal principles and pushing for environmental justice. Walz has set ambitious clean energy goals in Minnesota, aiming for 100% clean energy by 2050, and has promoted policies that reduce emissions and support green jobs.
   - Sustainable Development: Their combined focus on clean energy and environmental sustainability aligns with the growing urgency to address climate change while also creating new economic opportunities.

 5. Proven Record on Education and Healthcare:

   - Expanding Access to Education: Both Harris and Walz have prioritized education throughout their careers. Harris has supported initiatives like universal pre-K and increased funding for public schools, while Walz, a former teacher, has emphasized investments in K-12 education, mental health resources for students, and equitable access to quality education.
   - Healthcare Advocacy: Harris has been a strong advocate for expanding access to healthcare, defending the Affordable Care Act, and pushing for reforms to reduce costs and expand coverage. Walz has also focused on healthcare access, particularly in rural areas, and has worked on expanding mental health services and improving public health infrastructure.

 6. Focus on Inclusivity and Diversity:

   - Representation and Progress: Harris, as the first woman, first Black, and first South Asian Vice President, represents a step toward greater diversity in leadership. Her presence on the ticket symbolizes progress toward inclusivity and broadens the appeal to a wider range of voters.
   - Commitment to Equity: Walz’s record in Minnesota includes pushing for policies that address racial disparities in housing, education, and economic opportunities. A Harris/Walz ticket could continue emphasizing equity in policies across the board.

Quick Insight: This team offers a positive perspective with a definitive game plan for moving the American people forward. They look at all Americans as equal  without reflecting on race, creed, religion, or sexual preference. They do it gracefully with respect. The other team lives in the past, is motivated by anger and does not have a clear plan for creating a better future.
