The Normandy Chapter of Democrats Abroad wishes you all a very happy and fulfilling holiday season! We haven't scheduled a holiday get-together this year. If you would like to host one in Normandy, please let us know (contact email@example.com).
Normandy Democrats celebrated Independence Day with a barbecue on the Seine and much discussion of the upcoming visit of (and resistance to) Donald Trump in Paris.
Normandy Democrats commemorated D-Day and laid a beautiful wreath in a moving ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery on 4 June -- complete with the Star-Spangled Banner and TAPS.
You are invited to join our wreath-laying ceremony at 12:30 on Sunday, 4 June 2017 at the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer to commemorate D-Day. We will have lunch together afterwards at the nearby D-Day House restaurant on Omaha Beach. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Under a beautiful sky in Bayeux, Normandy Democrats discussed their US-French tax obligations and elected their Bureau for the next two years: Chair-Nancy Raff, Vice-Chair-Tom Kleingartner, Secretary-Candice Stevens, Treasurer-Julie Hanson and Elections Officer-Ann-Marie Poncet.
Vote for your representatives in the Normandy Chapter of Democrats Abroad! Mark your choices in the ballot below and submit it by mail, by email or in person at our get-together on the afternoon (15h00-18h00) of Saturday, 13 May in BAYEUX. We will also have drinks and learn about US TAX ISSUES FOR EXPATRIATES. Email for directions to email@example.com.
Attend our cocktail get-together in BAYEUX on 13 MAY 2017 (15h00-18h00) to learn about your US tax reporting obligations from expert Pierre Taponier, Attorney-at-Law, New York Bar, and Avocat à la Cour, Barreau de Paris. What are the consequences for expatriates of not filing US tax forms? How do I avoid double US and French taxation? What are FATCA and FBAR? RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for address and details.
Get more involved in the Normandy Chapter of Democrats Abroad by becoming an officer -- Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary or Treasurer! You have to be a member of Democrats Abroad Normandy. Just send a short statement on your background and goals by 14 April 2017 to our Elections Officer Ann Marie Pelosky at email@example.com.
Our elections will be on 13 May in Bayeux along with drinks and a talk by an expert on US Taxes for Expatriates. The ballots (you can also vote by email or paper mail) and more information on our Bayeux get-together will be sent soon.
