Born in Sterling, Virginia, Jacob Wesoky is an influential youth leader within the Democratic Party. At 18, he believes strongly in the power of youth leadership to effect meaningful change, which he embodies as the youngest Country Vice Chair and DPCA voting representative in Democrats Abroad history. His election to those positions marked a significant milestone for DA, highlighting the importance of including young, passionate voices in the organization’s efforts to defeat Trumpism up and down the ballot.

“Despite often being the youngest person at the table, my unwavering dedication has proven that age should not be a barrier to making a difference. My experience as President of the largest campus Democrats student group outside of the United States and overseeing DA’s second-largest country committee with over 20,000 members has equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to represent our community effectively. By running for delegate, I aim to continue advocating for the inclusion of diverse voices and ensure that our collective efforts lead to meaningful and lasting progress.”

Wesoky, who currently lives in Montreal, Canada is looking forward to networking with a diverse range of party members at the DNC in order to utilize those connections to advocate for Americans abroad. As one of the youngest delegates at the convention, he will use his voice to connect with and inform young Americans abroad to help get out the vote and bolster support for presumptive nominee Kamala Harris.
