Candidate statement:
My name is Donna, and I’m running to be a delegate for Democrats Abroad at the DNC. I’ve been involved in American civic culture for a long time--I wrote in ballots in middle school, and talked about the importance of strong civic duty as a high schooler. I think American democratic culture is one of the most valuable things we have--and as an expat now living abroad, I continue to feel its presence in my life today. I want to be a delegate for Democrats Abroad because I’m nineteen, and know the necessity of youth democratic activism everyday that we watch opposition parties grow more radical, and misinformation damage the politics of our country. America plays a powerful role on the stage, and I’d like to contribute by voting for our nominee in front of both the nation and the world.
