| I have been the Chair of Democrats Abroad Thailand for four different terms (between 2005-2009, and 2015-2019), helped led the massive growth in the chapter to make it one of the largest in the Asia-Pacific region. Professionally, I'm a grass-roots human rights organizer and labor activist, and have worked as the Deputy Asia Director for Human Rights Watch the past 14 years -- so I clearly recognize the huge consequences for rights and democracy that the 2024 election poses for both the US and the world. I attended the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia as the personal guest of JB Pritzker, my close friend and high school roommate, and interacted with the DA delegation at that convention. I passionately believe in the mission of DA in registering overseas Americans to vote, and demanding our seat at the table so that our unique perspectives and issues can be heard. |
